San Francisco-based Ripple has forged a new partnership with Tokyo’s HashKey DX, aiming to boost blockchain technology adoption across Japan. This collaboration seeks to introduce enterprise solutions powered by the XRP Ledger, specifically targeting the Japanese market.

HashKey DX is a consulting entity specializing in blockchain solutions and is part of the broader HashKey Group. The company plays a crucial role in facilitating the growth of foreign enterprises within Japan. Together with SBI Ripple Asia, established in 2018 as a joint venture between Ripple and Japanese financial titan SBI, the partnership aims to pioneer blockchain applications tailored for Japanese corporations.

At the forefront of this initiative, SBI Group will integrate these advanced solutions, marking a significant step in Japan’s corporate blockchain utilization. HashKey DX has already demonstrated the effectiveness of its blockchain strategies in mainland China, where its supply chain finance solutions have been widely embraced. Launched in 2019, the program boasts registration by over 4,000 companies, including numerous banks and suppliers, and has facilitated over $7 billion in trades.

These blockchain solutions are notable for their reliability and efficiency. The XRP Ledger, renowned for its stability and decade-long operational track record, will serve as the foundation for these new tools. The ledger is well-regarded for its ability to manage transactions swiftly and at a low cost, features that are critical for scalable enterprise applications.

Andy Dan from HashKey DX highlighted the XRP Ledger’s choice for its robust performance metrics, which are essential for real-world applications. “With its rapid settlement speeds and scalability, the XRPL is ideally suited for our supply chain finance solutions,” he noted.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also shared his views on this partnership through a post on the X social media network, showcasing the strategic importance of this alliance for Ripple’s growth and presence in Asia.

Furthermore, Emi Yoshikawa, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Ripple, also expressed enthusiasm about the joint venture. “This collaboration with HashKey DX and SBI Ripple Asia is a testament to our commitment to advancing blockchain technology and delivering substantial business value,” she stated.
