FTX US President Brett Harrison Steps Down:
The wave of step downs in crypto organisation this period has started raising more concerns online.
Brett Harrison, President of the United States subsidiary of major cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, is stepping down his position but will still act as an advisor for the company.
The FTX US boss announced his resignation in a tweet thread on Tuesday (September 27, 2022) after serving as CEO for nearly one and a half years.
According to Harrison:
“I’m remaining in the industry with the goal of removing technological barriers to full participation in and maturation of global crypto markets, both centralized and decentralized […] Until then, I’ll be assisting Sam and the team with this transition to ensure FTX ends the year with all its characteristic momentum.”
The former FTX US boss said he will transfer his responsibilities over the next few months while moving to an advisory role at the company.
Harrison’s resignation is coming after the reports of FTX winning the auction to acquire Voyager’s digital assets valued at over $1 billion.
Meanwhile, the following executives have stepped down their CEO duties previously;
Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky, Kraken co-founder and CEO Jesse Powell, Genesis CEO Michael Moro, and MicroStrategy boss Michael Saylor.
