What is Shadow Fork
From result of multiple years of research and development, The Merge seems to be highly-complex process.
Shadow forks are executed to help developers test synchronization assumptions in a bid to check network safety during upgrades that are irreversible.
However, 84% of Ethereum’s nodes are ticked as “Merge Ready,” according to data from EtherNodes.
Finally, the date of the merge event is still on September 15th.
